I work with you one to one on your own health, through medical astrology readings, integrative health coaching and therapeutic massage, online worldwide and in person on Portugal's Silver Coast. Alongside that I am building The Barefoot Network, with education, mentorship for coaches and practitioners, and a trusted circle of healers who share the same way of working.
How The Barefoot Healers came to be.
The Barefoot Healers began on a beach in 2020. During the pandemic I walked barefoot along the Silver Coast with my dogs, and my friend Bo Lemm often joined me. We had both spent decades working with the human body in very different ways, and we talked about what conventional medicine kept missing, and what might be possible if the two approaches came together.
Those walks became The Barefoot Healers. Over six years Bo and I built courses, hundreds of resources and countless client journeys, and trained health coaches, always following the roots before the symptom. We learnt a great deal from each other, with plenty of laughter along the way.
In time life took us in different directions, Bo into her own work and into becoming a grandmother. The Barefoot Healers now continues as my own practice, and the vision ahead is a network: a trusted home for healers and therapists, and for the people who need them.
Health is something to be understood, supported and lived.
Every modality I offer serves one purpose: helping you understand yourself deeply enough that your health becomes something you steward, rather than something that happens to you.
For six years Bo Lemm was my partner in building The Barefoot Healers, bringing more than twenty years of herbal medicine, energy healing and aromatherapy. I remain endlessly grateful for everything we built together. Bo is the first practitioner in the growing Barefoot Network.
I have been a Registered General Nurse for 27 years, with 12 of those in critical and acute care across vascular surgery, colorectal surgery and ICU. I am registered with the Ordem dos Enfermeiros in Portugal, hold a BSc in Nursing and an MA in Medical Ethics and Law, and trained as an Advanced Life Support Instructor and Critical Care Outreach Matron.
When my own health collapsed following a fluoroquinolone antibiotic injury and mould toxicity, I found that conventional medicine had the diagnosis but not the map forward. To understand what was happening in my own body, I trained further in nutrition, integrative health and medical astrology. Medical astrology has become my favourite tool to use with every client. A birth chart, I have found, can reveal patterns that years of appointments never surfaced.
I have also been a mentor for most of my career, to hundreds of nurses and, through the Barefoot Roadmap, to the health coaches we trained. Many of the practitioners who come to me now are gifted healers who doubt themselves, and helping them trust what they know is some of my favourite work.
I have a passion for autonomy in healthcare, and autonomy comes from understanding your own body and knowing why it does what it does. That shift changes everything, and it is the foundation of everything I offer.
Some people call me a health and healing wizard, and I rather like that.

I will always tell you why before I tell you what. Understanding your body, your constitution, your patterns and your timing is the healing itself.
I read blood tests and I read natal charts, and both are taken seriously here, without apology and without false hierarchy.
Bodies do not exist in isolation from minds, emotions, histories or environments. I do not treat symptoms in isolation. I look at the whole picture, because the whole picture changes everything.
I have spent 12 years in critical care across a 27-year nursing career. I do not deal in fairy dust. What I offer is warm, rigorous, and firmly rooted in both clinical reality and lived experience.
I work alongside conventional medicine and support your relationship with your healthcare team. I am clear about what I do and what I do not do.
