From the Inside Out: Welcoming Jelle Our Newest Accredited Holistic Health Coach

An image of a male healer

There is a particular kind of student who doesn't just learn the material, they let it change them. They arrive with something already quietly stirring, a readiness that precedes any course outline or module guide. They do the work not because it is required, but because they cannot imagine not doing it. Jelle is that kind of student.

It is with deep joy, profound respect, and a full heart that we welcome Jelle into the growing community of accredited Barefoot Roadmap: Holistic Health Coaches. His graduation is not only the completion of a programme. It is the culmination of an extraordinary inner journey, one that required honesty, tenacity, and the kind of courage that most people quietly spend their lives avoiding.

The Journey Behind the Qualification

The Barefoot Roadmap: Holistic Health Coaching Path was never designed to be a box to tick. It is, by its very nature, a whole-person education , one that asks students to move through the same terrain they will one day hold space for others to navigate.

The eight BAREFOOT pillars — Body Consciousness, Alternative Healing Remedies, Rest and Relaxation, Equilibrium, Food as Medicine, Optimal Digestion, One with Nature, and Toxin Reduction, are not academic frameworks. They are an invitation to live differently, to feel differently, to become a practitioner from the inside out.

Jelle accepted that invitation fully.

Over the months of his programme, he did not skim the surface. He went deep. He faced old terrain within himself, the kind of inner work that is not easily described but unmistakably felt. There were difficult weeks, moments of intense purging and shedding, the kind of raw, uncomfortable passage that real transformation demands. And through all of it, he kept going. He kept showing up, for the work, for himself, and ultimately, for the people he is now ready to help on their own journeys.

In his own words, shared at the close of his journey:

It has definitely been a beautiful and intense journey these last months. I have been going very deep and intense with purging and shedding, probably one of the most difficult weeks, but such a relief and transformation after. Thank you for your great guidance and support.

These are not the words of someone who found the path easy. They are the words of someone who chose the path anyway. And that distinction matters enormously.

What Jelle Is Building?

Based in Thailand, Jelle is channelling everything he has moved through into his new practice, Asha Holistic Wellness, a psycho-spiritual healing space grounded in nervous system regulation, trauma-informed understanding, embodied awareness, and intuitive healing.

The message at the heart of Asha Holistic Wellness is one we find deeply resonant:

"You are not broken. This is a space for remembrance."

Those words carry weight. They speak to people who have spent years trying to fix themselves, the exhausted seekers, the ones quietly overwhelmed, the ones who feel lost or stuck or disconnected from their own inner knowing. Jelle has been in that place himself. He knows the terrain. And that lived understanding is precisely what makes him the kind of practitioner who can help others find their way back.

His approach bridges psychology and spirituality through the intelligence of the body, a meeting point that is increasingly recognised not just in integrative health circles but in the broader evidence base around trauma, nervous system healing, and holistic wellbeing (van der Kolk, 2014; Porges, 2011).

Why Practitioners Like Jelle Matter

The world does not need more healers who have read about healing. It needs more healers who have done it, who have sat with their own darkness, metabolised their own pain, and emerged with both the humility and the skill to walk alongside others doing the same. Jelle is one of those people. His willingness to be transformed by this process and not just certified by it, is exactly what The Barefoot Roadmap is designed to cultivate. We believe that the most powerful practitioners are those whose knowledge is not separate from their lived experience, but born from it.

Welcome to the Family, Jelle!

Jelle is now a valued member of the wider community of holistic health coaches connected to The Barefoot Healers, a growing network of practitioners who share a commitment to whole-person, evidence-informed, soul-led healing. We are proud to have walked alongside him during this season of his life, and we are genuinely excited to witness what he creates from here.

If you are looking for a practitioner who meets you with compassion, depth, and authentic understanding, we warmly recommend reaching out to Jelle directly. He offers in person (in Thailand) services as well as online.

The Barefoot Roadmap Is Being Rebuilt

A note for anyone reading this and recognising something of themselves in Jelle's story.

The Barefoot Roadmap Holistic Health Coaching Path is not open for enrolment at the moment. It is being revamped, rebuilt from the ground up around everything I have learned from students like Jelle: what genuinely changes a practitioner, what is simply content, and what needs far more support than a module can give. The new version will be worth the wait, and it will open again.

If you would like to be told when it does, register your interest. There is no cost, no commitment and no sales sequence waiting for you. Send me a message through the contact page, or email jennie@thebarefoothealers.com with Roadmap in the subject line, and you will be the first to hear when enrolment opens.

With Gratitude

Congratulations, Jelle. Watching a student walk through the fire and come out the other side as a practitioner is the most rewarding part of this work. Asha Holistic Wellness is lucky to have you, and so is everyone who finds their way to your door.

With warmth and grounded wisdom,

Jennie x
